UEFA to boycott the World Cup over Infantino’s investment plan

VIDEO: FIFA’s attempt to turn to private investors appears to be hitting a major roadblock already. On Thursday, European nations agreed to boycott the World Cup and all other competitions, in protest of Gianni Infantino’s plan to sell stakes in soccer’s biggest tournament. The FIFA president said the World Federation is offering a one-off payment of 20 million dollars to all 255 members and issued a deadline for members to accept it or not by mid-September.
