Hamilton police reopen Avalon Place neighbourhood after reports of possible weapon

Hamilton police responded to reports of a possible weapon at a house in the area of Avalon Place and Burris Street Thursday.

Officers briefly closed off the immediate area during the afternoon before reopening Burris Street at around 3:30 p.m.

They are asking residents in the area to shelter in place while police resolve the incident.
