Motorcycle crash in Caledonia leaves one person dead

The Haldimand County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says one person is dead after a motorcycle crash in Caledonia.

On Wednesday at around 12:25 p.m., OPP, fire and emergency services responded to a single-vehicle collision on 4th Line near McKenzie Road and Haldimand Road 9.

Officers say a motorcycle struck an object on the roadway and the operator was ejected. The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene.

Roads were closed but have since reopened around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
