Hamilton police are investigating an early morning shooting in Stoney Creek that left two males dead. The ages of the victims are unknown at this time.
On Wednesday at around 2:25 a.m., police say they were called to Tabby Town Co-op Housing at 191 Candlewood Drive, near Rymal Road East and Upper Centennial Parkway for reports of gunshots.
Const. Trevor McKenna tells CHCH News that officers arrived at the scene and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
A section of the housing complex has been closed as a result along with a portion of Candlewood Drive surrounded by Featherwood Crescent.
Police say it is still too early to determine if the incident was targeted, but all investigative avenues remain open.
Investigators are also working to put together a description of the suspects.
