Two hospitalized after OPP cruiser crash on QEW in Hamilton

Two people were taken to hospital as a precaution following a crash involving an OPP cruiser on the QEW at Centennial Parkway in Hamilton.

Police say multiple vehicles were involved in Sunday’s collision, including an OPP cruiser, which had significant damage to its front end. Another vehicle appeared to have damage to its side and back end.

Officers say several Fort Erie-bound lanes on the QEW near Centennial Parkway were closed for most of the day, causing major traffic.

There is no word on the cause of the crash.
