Police recover vehicle in fatal shooting of Niagara Falls man

Police say they have recovered the Mazda CX5 tied to Thursday’s fatal shooting in Niagara Falls as they continue to search for two suspects.

On Thursday at around 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road for reports of a man who had been shot.

Investigators determined that two suspects attended the residence and shot the victim with a handgun.

The shooting victim, who was identified as Mitchell Snoddon of Niagara Falls, was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police say they have identified 23-year-old Maroof Bangi and 30-year-old Josta Grace MacNeal as the two suspects involved in the fatal shooting.

However, detectives now believe the suspects may take steps to alter their appearance to avoid detection including changing their facial hair, length or colour of hair, makeup and clothing styles.

MacNeal is known to have a distinctive feather tattoo located on the left side of her neck.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Bangi or MacNeal are asked to contact the authorities at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009134.

Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous as no firearm has been recovered in this incident. They are both wanted for second degree murder.

Officers advise the public to not approach either party and to call 911 if spotted.
