Concerns were raised on social media about an ad seen on HSR buses

The ad says ‘Canada has no abortion laws. Seem backwards?.’ It’s being called misleading and pro-choice advocates say the ads should be removed.

The city of Hamilton provided a statement to CHCH News it says the advertisements were determined “not” to contravene the city’s policy “and or” the Canadian code of advertising standards.

The city also says its policy is under review to ensure it continues to appropriately reflect the city’s position.
