Citizen’s 911 call leads to seizure of airsoft gun, drugs in Dundas

A 28-year-old man is facing a slew of charges after a concerned citizen called police to report a suspicious vehicle in Dundas.

Officers were called to the area of Napier St. and King St. West shortly after 11 p.m. Monday.

Police began investigating a man and woman who were inside the vehicle. They say the man tried to mislead police by failing to properly identify himself and he was arrested.

Officers searched the driver and found 15 grams of cocaine powder, 18 grams of crystal meth, hydromorphone pills, oxycodone pills and drug paraphernalia.They also located an airsoft handgun with ammunition.

A Hamilton man has been charged with several drug and weapons-related charges. He is scheduled to appear in court later Tuesday.
