The Government of Canada has issued a health safety recall on an air fryer due to possible fire and burn hazards.

Anyone with a Secura Air Fryer model number SAF-53 (TXG-DS16) is instructed to immediately stop using the product and contact Secura Inc. to receive an Amazon.ca gift card code.

The recall involves the models with date codes 1903 and 1904. The model number and four-digit date code are printed on the silver labels located at the bottom of each unit.

A wire connection in the air fryer can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.

As of May 14 the company has received no reports of incident or injury in Canada.

For more information, consumers can contact Secura Inc. toll-free at 888-792-2360, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday, by email at customercare@thesecura.com or by visiting the recall page on the company website.
