OPP seek witnesses in fatal Hwy. 406 crash in St. Catharines

Ontario Provincial Police are appealing to the public for witnesses to a fatal collision that took place in St. Catharines on Highway 406 and Third Avenue in December 2025.

According to investigators, on Dec. 3, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a southbound vehicle lost control and rolled into the centre ditch.

One of the occupants of the vehicle, an 18-year-old Thorold woman, was ejected and ended up in the northbound lanes of Highway 406 just north of Third Avenue.

Officers say the woman was struck by at least two vehicles in the northbound lanes. Those vehicles did not remain on scene.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
