Toronto man charged after allegedly sexually assaulting child on Halloween

A Toronto man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a child on Halloween night.

York Regional Police say a man approached two young girls in the lobby of an apartment building in Richmond, Hill around 8 p.m.

They say the man engaged in conversation with the pair and then sexually assaulted one of them.

Police allege the man encouraged the girl to return later that evening.

Police say Pirasan Sanmugavadivel, 22, turned himself into police on Nov. 24.

He has been charged with sexual assault, criminal harassment and breach of probation.

Investigators have released an image of the suspect. They they want to ensure there are no other victims.
