Ontario Provincial Police have wrapped up their investigation into a crash that killed four high school students and a teacher from Walkerton, Ont., earlier this year.
Officers say they will not lay any charges and will not provide any further details.
A vigil was held in Walkerton, Ont., days after the crash in May, honouring the the lives of Kaydance Ford, Danica Baker, Olivia Rourke, Rowan McLeod, and their teacher and coach Matt Eckert.
All five were on their way back from a high school softball tournament when their vehicle crashed into a transport truck and then an SUV at an intersection east of London.
Investigators at the time said the driver and passenger of the SUV and the driver of the transport truck had suffered minor injuries.
Rourke’s family launched the “Olivia Rourke Foundation” in June, which “focuses on supporting youth-led community initiatives, advancing women in sports, and funding cancer-related charities and research.”
