Police are searching for three men after an elderly woman was assaulted in her Hamilton Mountain home on Monday afternoon during a break and enter.
The suspects accessed the residence on Fairey Crescent through an unlocked back door around 1:30 p.m. when the woman was home alone.
After the assault the men stole jewelry and other valuables then fled through the front door. Police say that the victim was not injured in the attack.
The men were seen leaving the scene in a dark blue or grey Chevrolet Cruze believed to be driven by a third suspect. Suspect descriptions are as follows:
Suspect One: Blue jacket with hood up, black pants, black gloves and backpack and white face mask.
Suspect Two: Blue jacket with hood up, black pants, gloves, grey shoes and white face mask.
Suspect Three: Heavy set, darker complexion, dark hair and wearing a reflective vest.
Anyone with information or who may have home surveillance or dashcam footage of Fairey Crescent between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Nov. 3 is asked to contact the Division 30 Staff Sergeant at 905-546-3886 or Crime Stoppers of Hamilton at 1-800-222-8477.
