Union representing Canada Post workers to give update on negotiations

The union representing Canada Post employees is set to update the public on contract talks this morning.

Leaders of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers will take questions and push back against what they call misinformation around the long-running bargaining process, now stretching past a year and a half.

The union’s most recent proposal — tabled late last month — sought higher wages while allowing some flexibility for part-time workers.

Canada Post has yet to formally respond, but says any expectations must reflect the corporation’s bleak financial outlook.
