Niagara police arrest one following human trafficking investigation

Police say they’ve arrested a man from North York in connection to an ongoing human trafficking investigation in Niagara Falls.
Officers say the investigation focused on the alleged trafficking of an adult woman within the city of Niagara Falls.
Marcel Miller, 33, of North York was identified as a suspect and taken into custody on Aug, 2. He has been charged with the following:
- Trafficking in persons, contrary to Section 279.01(1) of the Criminal Code
- Procuring, contrary to Section 286.3(1) of the Criminal Code
- Advertising sexual services of person over 18 years of age, contrary to Section 286.4 of the Criminal Code
- Receive a financial or other material benefit, contrary to Section 279.02(1) of the Criminal Code
He is believed to go by the alias names of “Daddy,” “SD,” and “Smooth Dollaz.”
Due to the nature of the investigation, police believe there may be additional witnesses.
