Police identify victim of Dundas shooting, search ongoing for suspect vehicle and possible witness

VIDEO: Hamilton police held a press conference to give an update on their investigation into a fatal shooting in Dundas on Sunday evening.
Hamilton police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Dundas on Sunday evening as 25-year-old Zachary Shuman of Dundas.
Investigators say he was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders, and his truck was located near 77 Governors Rd. where the shooting took place.
They are searching for a second vehicle believed to be driven by the suspect.
That vehicle is described as a blue Ford Edge. It was last seen leaving the scene shortly after the shots were fired.
Police say they have evidence that Zachary interacted with the driver of the Ford Edge in a Metro parking lot at 15 Governors Rd. moments before the attack.
Officers are also searching for a witness who was seen running away from the area on foot Saturday. She is described as approximately 5’5″ with shoulder-length brown hair, and was last seen wearing orange shorts.
This is the seventh homicide in Hamilton this year.
