Brantford police arrest 27-year-old man after stabbing in Victoria Park

Brantford police say they’ve arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with an early morning assault and stabbing in Victoria Park that left one person in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police have not released his name or any identifying details.

Officers say the stabbing took place around 1:20 a.m. Friday morning.

Following the incident, the attacker fled to a nearby apartment building on Wellington Street, where he hid inside an unlocked apartment.

Police located and arrested him in the apartment building with help from the K-9 unit. He is now facing five criminal charges.
