Brantford residents shaken up after two overnight violent attacks

People in Brantford were shaken up Tuesday by an outbreak of violence in their city.

It started with a shooting in the middle of the night at a local magic mushroom store, followed by a stabbing near the Brantford hospital.

Police say these appear to be two separate incidents.

First the storefront was peppered with gunshots, then about an hour later, a man apparently dragged himself into hospital with multiple stab wounds.

Police can’t say at this point whether there’s any connection between the shooting and the stabbing, there’s no word on any suspects in either incident.
