Man critically injured in rollover crash on Highway 403 near Ancaster

A man in his 20s is fighting for his life after an early morning rollover on Highway 403 near Ancaster.

The westbound lanes from Wilson Street are closed all the way to Highway 52.

OPP say the crash occurred sometime around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, and expect the road to reopen by 7 a.m.

Police say the driver was the sole occupant of the car.

Local paramedics tell CHCH News that a woman, also in her 20s, was taken to hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition from the scene but add that she was not involved in the crash.

The cause of the collision remains unknown.
