Six days of war in Israel and Gaza has left at least 2,800 people dead, with no sign the bloodshed will stop.

The United Nations is warning the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is increasingly dire, as food and water is running out and the only source of electricity is generators.

This comes as Israel is vowing to crush Hamas, and promises no electricity, water or fuel for Gaza until Israeli hostages held by the terror group are returned home.

The U.S. is pledging its support for Israel will never falter, as Canada works to get its citizens out of the war zone. Global Affairs Canada says three Canadians have died in Israel and four others are missing.

The first Canadian evacuation flights have left Tel Aviv, with more scheduled for tomorrow and Saturday.
