Across the Line is the feature film directorial debut of Toronto-based filmmaker Director X, whose work includes popular music videos for artists like Drake, Rhianna, and Kendrick Lamar. The film, based on true events, focuses on a young, black NHL hopeful living in a racially divided Nova Scotian community. When tensions come to a head in his town it puts his career in jeopardy. We talked to Director X about his film at his Creative Soul Studio in downtown Toronto.
