Boston Marathon bombing suspect pleads not guilty

Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev plead not guilty this afternoon, to 30 counts, including charges of using a weapon of mass destruction.

Court sketches show Tsarnaev, wearing an orange prison suit, and some sort of bandage or cast on his left hand.

The 19-year old entered his plea in front of some of the marathon survivors. The hearing was Tsarnaev’s first public appearance since he was hauled bleeding from a boat four days after two bombs went off near the marathon’s finish line.

Tsarnaev is due to return to court on September 23rd. The U.S. Government has not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty.
