Tom Flanagan under fire for comments

Updated For some it was a “jaw dropping” moment – for others, a source of intense repulsion and moral outrage.

Former Alberta Wildrose party campaign manager Tom Flanagan has been dumped by the party over comments questioning the harm of child pornography.

In a speech at Alberta’s University of Lethbridge last night, Flanagan said he had “doubts about putting people in jail because of their taste in pictures.” He added that the act doesn’t harm other people, and that punishment infringes on personal liberties.
