Hawking needs assistant

Famed British physicist Stephen Hawking is seeking an assistant to help develop and maintain his computer-assisted speech system.

Requirements posted on Hawking’s website include willingness to travel, computer literacy and the ability to work without an instruction manual or tech support.

Hawking is known for his pioneering work on black holes and books on cosmology.

He suffers from Lou Gehrig’s disease which has confined him to a wheelchair and requires him to use an electronic voice synthesizer to speak.
