Safe injection sites

Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq says the federal government will comply with a Supreme Court ruling supporting a safe-injection site for addicts in B.C., but still wants to review the decision.

Friday, the unanimous court ordered the Harper government to abandon its effort to close the insite facility in Vancouver.

The Conservative government argues it fosters addictions.

Aglukkaq says the government still believes that prevention and treatment are the best ways to combat drug addiction.
