Ontario reports 129 new COVID-19 cases, 5 more deaths
Ontario is reporting 129 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and five more deaths.
The data is based on 13,600 completed tests.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 37 new cases in Toronto, and 22 in Peel Region.
There are currently 127 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illness and 81 on ventilators.
The province says 92,035 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered Monday for a total of more than 19.1 million.
Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least five are in an outbreak including Arbour Creek Long-Term Care Centre in Hamilton, St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, Fox Ridge Care Community in Brantford, and The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington.
An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
