Ontario is reporting 192 new COVID-19 cases Friday and another person has died from the virus.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 43 new cases in Toronto, 25 in Peel Region, 18 in York Region, 18 in the Region of Waterloo, and 11 in Durham Region.
There are currently 136 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illness and 84 on ventilators.
The province says 120,231 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered Thursday for a total of more than 18.7 million.
Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least five are in an outbreak including Arbour Creek Long-Term Care Centre in Hamilton, St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, and The Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington.
An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
