Ontario is reporting 183 new cases of COVID-19 and nine additional deaths on Friday.
The data is based on more than 26,100 completed tests.
The test positivity rate is 0.7 per cent — the lowest test positivity rate since Sept. 6, 2020.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says there are 50 new cases in the Region of Waterloo, 24 in Peel Region, 24 in Grey Bruce, 22 in Toronto, and 10 in Halton Region.
The Ministry of Health says 202 people are in intensive care because of COVID-19 and 112 are on a ventilator.
Elliott says as of 8 p.m. Thursday, 16.6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered, including 224,864 doses administered yesterday.
