Ontario reports 1,890 COVID-19 cases, 27 deaths
Ontario reported 1,890 cases of COVID-19 and 27 deaths on Friday, a day before the province allows some outdoor activities to reopen.

The reported positivity rate is 5.4 per cent, with the province completing 37,126 tests.
Ontario is reporting 1,890 cases of #COVID19 and over 37,100 tests completed. Locally, there are 469 new cases in Toronto, 468 in Peel, 165 in York Region, 111 in Hamilton and 107 in Durham.

- 19,899 total cases — up 107 from Thursday

Niagara
- 15,445 total cases — up 57 from Thursday

- 405 deaths — up two from Thursday
- 42 in hospital
Brant
- 3131 total cases — up 10 from Thursday
- 2,986 resolved cases
- 125 active cases
- 20 deaths
- 6 in hospital
Haldimand-Norfolk
- 2,585 total cases — up five from Thursday
- 2,442 resolved cases
- 94 active cases
- 44 deaths — up one from Thursday
There are 1,265 people hospitalized with COVID-19 across the province. There are 715 patients in ICU with 510 of them on ventilators.
Another 158,524 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday. There are 495,757 people in the province who have received both required doses.
Another 2,689 cases have been marked as resolved.
