New vaccination clinic opening in Burlington on Wednesday

Halton Public Health Services is opening a new vaccination clinic in Burlington on Wednesday.

The clinic will be located at the Gary Allen Learning Centre at 3250 New St.

It’s the third vaccination centre in Burlington and the seventh in the region.

Eligible residents can begin booking appointments there as of Tuesday.

The region is currently booking appointments for several groups including:

• Adults 50 and older
• People 16 and older who can’t work from home
• Group 1 essential workers

The list will be expanded to include residents 40 and older starting Wednesday. This group is already able to book vaccine appointments at pharmacies and select primary care settings.

On Friday, it will be open to residents 30 and older, then 16 and older on Wednesday May 19.
