Ontario reported 1,268 cases of COVID-19 and nine deaths on Monday, as the province launched vaccine booking for residents 80 and older.
The daily case count comes as the province completed 33,975 tests. The reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were done, is 3.8 per cent.
Another 1,114 cases have been marked as resolved.
Ontario says another 33,198 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday. A total of 1,191,533 vaccine doses have been administered.
There are 287,283 people in the province who are fully vaccinated.
There are now 1,106 confirmed cases of the B.1.1.7 lineage of the virus, which was first reported in the U.K.
Confirmed cases of the B.1.351 strain, first reported in South Africa, is now 44.
There are now 34 confirmed cases of the P.1 strain first reported in Brazil.
There are 699 patients hospitalized with the virus across the province. There are 298 people in ICU and 186 are on ventilators.
