Local Christmas shopping

Black Friday continues to pick up steam on this side of the border as big businesses were slashing prices enticing thousands of customers into their stores. But smaller shops are also getting in on the action. Melissa Raftis caught up with some independent business owners who are hoping customers decide to get their discounts locally.

It’s the personal touches like these carolers from Delta Secondary spreading cheer from shop to shop. Or the Hamilton Blues Society jamming on the corner to collect toys for Saint Matthew’s House that sets Black Friday shopping on Ottawa Street North apart from any mall.
