(Updated) The woman found dead inside her north Oakville home has been identified.

Police were called after Katherine Newman, 43, was discovered inside her Treetop Terrace home on Thursday morning. Not far from there, a man was shot outside the Oakville detachment of Halton Regional Police. There is no confirmation tonight about a possible connection between the two shootings.
