Siemens & province make a promise

Energy equipment manufacturer Siemens signed a memorandum of understanding Friday with the province of Ontario.

The memorandum of understanding is a promise by both parties to bring more jobs to the province. This is the first time Siemens has signed with a provincial government – and only the second agreement the province has signed with a large company. Siemens is closing a gas turbine plant in Hamilton this year, and opening a wind turbine plant in Tillsonburg. We get more from Lisa Hepfner:
