Downtown stabbing overnight

A man in his 20’s was stabbed in downtown Hamilton early Friday morning.

Police say the incident started with a verbal confrontation and ended with the stabbing just after one in morning in front of the Big Bee Convenience and Vida la Pita on King Street at Caroline.

The victim was taken to hospital and will recover from his wounds.

Police say they know the identity of the person they are looking for.
