$50K reward offered in missing Hagersville woman case

A $50,000 reward is now being offered in hopes of finding a missing Hagersville woman who police believe may have been a victim of foul play.

The reward is being offered by the Government of Ontario for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for Amber Ellis’ disappearance.

Ellis, who was 33-years-old at the time, was last seen near the end of Feb. 2021 on Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation. She was report missing by her mother on March 8, 2021.

Prior to her disappearance, Ellis lived in Hagersville. She also has ties to the Brantford, Cambridge, Hamilton and Norfolk County areas.

Ellis is described as 5’9” tall, 120 lbs, with a thin build, long dark hair and brown eyes.

The OPP have a dedicated team of investigators from OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch, Haldimand County OPP, Brantford Police Service, and Six Nations Police service committed to locating Amber.

Police shared a video on Dec. 21, 2021 to encourage witnesses with any information to come forward.
