A series of festivals are taking place in and around the city this weekend as the summer slowly comes to an end.

Hamilton’s annual Greek Festival features traditional Greek culture like music, homemade Greek food and live Greek dancing.

In Burlington, the 23rd annual Children’s Festival kicked off on Saturday at Beachway Park. This year the event has a superhero theme.

With many Burlington residents still dealing with the aftermath of devastating flooding, the festival is giving them a chance to rally together and bring awareness to those in need.

In Dundas the Cactus Festival drew in big crowds on Saturday.

Each event is unique and has its own niche, but there is a common thread – good food and good music.

All three festivals wrap up on Sunday.
