MEET THE CAST:
JACOB BLAIR – William Pinkerton
Jacob William Blair is a Canadian actor, writer and musician, whose first acting role came was in the popular Sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica: Razor. He went to appear in many other programs such as Bionic Woman, The L Word, and Fringe.
Jacob’s first major role was in CW’s Aliens in America, where he played popular quarterback Dan Archer. From there he continued booking large roles in both film and television, with such titles as Fear Island, Smokin’ Aces 2: Assassins’ Ball, Hot Tub Time Machine, The A-Team, Wrecked, The Grey, and Underworld: Awakening.
Jacob has been seen in the TV series’ Suits, Beauty and the Beast, Republic of Doyle, and Rookie Blue. Lately he has had the opportunity to work with Black Walk Films for the TV series Dark Rising: Warrior of Worlds and Good Soldier Films for the feature Night Cries.
MARTHA MACISAAC – Kate Warne
Martha MacIsaac began her acting career playing the title role in Emily of New Moon (1998-2000), a wildly popular Canadian series. She quickly became one of the standout theatre actresses in Canada, and in 2006, Martha was nominated Best Actress at the Dora Awards, for her work in Henry Ibsen’s Wild Duck at The Soulpepper Theatre in Toronto.
Martha starred in the feature Faith, Fraud and Minimum Wage, adapted from the hit Canadian play Halo. In Last House on the Left, Martha wonderfully portrayed Paige, a young woman tortured and ultimately killed by a gang led by Garrett Dillahunt and Aaron Paul. She played Michael Cera’s love interest Becca in the hilarious Judd Apatow comedy Superbad, and she joined Val Kilmer and Aaron Ashmore in The Thaw, directed by Mark Lewis.
In addition to features, Martha works consistently in episodic television, most recently playing Becca in the NBC/20th Century Fox Series 1600 Penn, about the First Family and their screw-ups. She has recurred as Dana Stockwell in the ABC Family series Greek, and she is the voice of both Sarah on Friends and Heroes, and Melosa on Nelvana’s Di-Gata Defenders.
ANGUS MACFADYEN – Allan Pinkerton
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Angus Macfadyen attended the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London. He easily found work on stage and screen, quickly gaining international acclaim for his tour-de-force performance as Robert the Bruce in the Oscar-winning film Braveheart.
Over the course of his career, Angus has appeared in dozens of feature films and television shows. His incredible range as an actor has led to roles with some of the greatest talents in Hollywood, including starring roles in projects such as Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood opposite Sandra Bullock, Equilibrium with Christian Bale, Julie Taymor’s Titus with Anthony Hopkins, and Tim Robbins’ Cradle Will Rock. He performed on stage, starring in Medea opposite Annette Bening.
In recent years was the project We Bought a Zoo, written and directed by Academy Award-Winner Cameron Crowe. Angus is now filming a second season as a series regular on AMC’s Turn.
