Man drowns while attending work event at Gulliver’s Lake Park

Hamilton police are investigating the death of a 24-year-old man who was pulled from the water at Gulliver’s Lake Park on Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to 792 Safari Rd. shortly after 3 p.m. for reports of a drowning.

A Thornhill man was attending a workplace gathering at the park when he was seen outside the marked swimming area.

Co-workers eventually noticed that he was missing and later found him submerged underwater.

The victim was taken out of the water and CPR was performed. He was then transported by air ambulance to a Hamilton hospital where he later died.
