Canada Post unveils stamps for Canada 150

First Published:

Marcus Stroman showed Canada some love as Canada Post’s 10 new stamps where proudly displayed on the cargo jets that delivers mail across the country.

The pitcher says he loves everything about the county – so much so the New York native wants to make Canada his official home away from home.

“Hopefully we go through that process and I can have dual residency, dual citizenship between here and the United States.”

“The culture, the people.. ever since I’ve gotten to the city of Toronto, even the country of Canada, I feel like everyone’s embraced me. I love how genuine the people are.”

The Canada 150 stamps represent 10 significant pieces of Canadian history. Like when the Canadian Arm took flight into space in 1981, or when gay marriage became legal across the country.

With 150 years of history it was hard for Canada Post to narrow it down to just 10 moments so they decided to concentrate on just the last 50 years.

Canada post hopes the stamps will get people talking and brushing up on their Canadian history.
