Provincial police officers are investigating after a man’s body was found in Short Hills Provincial Park in Pelham.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was found in water near Swayze Falls.

While provincial police have jurisdiction over the park, Niagara Regional Police major crime investigators are also on the scene. Toronto Police have been notified; they are investigating whether a body was dumped at a home in Wainfleet.

The park will be closed off for several hours while the investigation continues.

CHCH’s Lauran Sabourin is on the scene; she’ll have an update tonight on the Evening News at 6.
