Video shared of suspect vehicle after Hamilton house porch set on fire

Hamilton police have released video of a vehicle they are looking for in connection with an arson investigation.

Officers say a suspect set fire to the front wooden porch of a home on Burton St. shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 5.

A family with young children were asleep within the home at the time of the fire. A neighbour extinguished the blaze and alerted the residents.

The suspect is described as wearing a light hooded jacket and dark coloured pants.

The vehicle is described as a silver, four-door 2015-2020 Ford F150. It has tinted windows, a silver front grill, black rims and the front licence plate is attached to the front passenger side.

Investigators are asking residents to check their home video surveillance on Dec. 5 between 3:20 a.m. to 3:40 a.m. in the area of Victoria Ave. to Burton St., Burton St. to Wentworth St. North and along Wentworth St. North.
