U.S. killed 24 Venezuelan officers during Maduro capture, officials say

Venezuelan officials say at least 24 of the country’s security officers were killed in the dead-of-night U.S. military operation to capture Nicolas Maduro.

Venezuela’s Attorney General said prosecutors would investigate the deaths in what he described as a “war crime” but he didn’t specify if the estimate was specifically referring to Venezuelans.

The death toll comes after Cuba’s government announced that 32 Cuban military and police officers working in Venezuela had died in the operation.
