
Air Canada CEO expresses regret over ignoring French in tribute to crash victims

The CEO of Air Canada has issued an apology after facing backlash for posting an English-only condolence video to those affected by the recent deadly crash. CEO Michael Rousseau says he is “deeply saddened” that his inability to speak French diverted attention from the grief of the families of the pilots killed in the crash. Prime Minister Mark Carney said yesterday that it showed a lack of compassion and judgment.
