It’s the closing weekend for the Toronto International Film Festival, with the final red carpet premiere happening Saturday night.
The final red carpet of the festival happened just outside of Roy Thomson Hall and is for the world premiere of the documentary Sly, looking at the life and career of Sylvester Stallone.
From Rocky to Rambo to Creed, it’s letting audiences peak behind the curtain and see his personal life while he was making all of those action classics.
The film screened for the first time Saturday afternoon and there was an additional showing later in the evening.

Stallone is one of the only actors to head north of the border into Toronto for this year’s festival due to the dual actor and writer strikes.
Canadian and international stars were free to walk the carpet, like Nickelback did last week for the premiere of their documentary “Hate to Love: Nickelback”.
Only some Hollywood celebrities got permission from the union to promote their films, meaning that most carpets featured directors and producers rather than stars.
But that didn’t seem to stop fans from clamouring for tickets, with some premiere events even ending up on the resale ticket market for $1,500.
While the movie “Dumb Money” has a star studded cast with Seth Rogan, Paul Dano, Pete Davidson and more, none of the cast attended.

While the festival is winding down, there’s still plenty to do this weekend.
Lots of screenings with tickets still available to movies that premiered over the past 10 days, and free screenings of old classics outside in the evening.
And TIFF is asking audiences to vote on their favourite film of the festival, that will be shown for free on sunday.
