St. Catharines shooting

A 16 year old boy is under arrest in connection with a shooting in St Catharines Saturday night.

Police say a 48 year old man sitting in his car on Manchester Road was approached by two suspects, one of them armed. When they demanded money, the driver stepped on the gas and sped away to safety but not before one shot was fired at the vehicle.

Police were called and arrested one suspect at a house on Manchester Road and seized a modified shotgun. A second suspect is still being sought.
