A woman was rescued in Stoney Creek Thursday afternoon after falling nearly 10 meters at Felker’s Falls.

It happened around 2pm. A woman who was rock climbing fell about 60 feet and firefighters had to use ropes to pull her to safety. The rescue effort was made more difficult because of the ice and snow. The falls were frozen. The woman was taken to hospital but there’s no details on the severity of her injuries. It’s estimated that it took about 90 minutes to rescue the woman.
