Crews at the Baltimore bridge collapse have cleared a temporary channel that will allow small boats to go through.

However, while it provides some access, it remains too shallow for larger cargo ships to access the Port of Baltimore.

The channel was dug nearly a week after a huge container ship slammed into the bridge, killing six construction workers.

Crews are also working on clearing a larger path for bigger vessels while simultaneously working to untangle what’s left of the bridge.

There is yet to be a timeline on when the port, which employs 8000 people, will be at full capacity again.

The timeline for when a replacement bridge will be built also remains unclear at this time.

The owners of the MV Dali have petitioned a court in an attempt to limit their liability to the ship and the cargo on board.
