One woman dead, 2 in hospital after Halton Hills crash

Halton police say one woman is dead and two others are in hospital after a serious crash in Halton Hills.

The three-vehicle collision happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Steeles Ave. and Ninth Line South.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Steeles Avenue between Eighth Line and Tenth Line is closed. A portion of Ninth Line South is also closed off just past Argentia Road which has caused traffic delays.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area. The roads are expected to be closed for a couple of hours as the collision reconstruction unit continues to investigate the scene.
