Man arrested after firing a rifle in Central Hamilton

Hamilton police responded to a call that a man was shooting a rifle into the air near King St. and Sanford Ave yesterday afternoon.

When officers arrived on scene, the man tossed the rifle and armed himself with a machete.

All weapons have been recovered and the 35 year old was arrested on weapons-related charges.
